London Family History Centre

The London Family History Centre is currently located in the Reading Room of The National Archives near Kew Gardens. The London Family History Centre is presently searching for a permanent location.  In the meantime, both online and microfilm resources remain at Kew.  Advanced booking of computers or films is not necessary.  Use this website to identify film numbers present in our inventory. A form to request films is available at Kew.  Staff members retrieve films every 15 minutes.  Downloads from websites and digital scans or prints from films are available.

    The London Family History Centre remains temporarily at the National Archives at Kew for the immediate future.  Our opening hours mirror those of the Archives.  Closed Sunday and Monday

    Open Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 am to 7:00 pm; Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.  The Archives are closed on the Saturdays of Bank Holiday weekends.
