London Family History Centre

The London Family History Centre (formerly the Hyde Park Family History Centre) is one of more than 4,500 Family History Centres of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is the largest such Centre outside of North America, and one of more than 100 Centres in the British Isles.

The Centre holds a growing collection of finding aids and a significant collection of primary records, mostly on microfilm.

Records are chiefly drawn from the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah.

    London FHC News

    FindMyPast has enhanced their Parish Record Collection, with the addition of Dorset, Wiltshire, Thames-side, and Medway Parish records.

     The National Probate Calendar, Index to England and Wales wills and Administrations, from 1861 - 1941, is now available on Ancestry.

    The Irish 1901 Census in now online and available at the London FHC! This includes 4.5 million records, covering some 850,000 households on the night of 31 March 1901.

     Family Search's RECORD SEARCH PILOT, has added massive updates to it's European databases. (Fifty new ones). Worldwide, several hundred new databases are now searchable online! Includes new Jamaican records.

     Chelsea Pensioners British Army Service Records, 1883-1900 - now available on line (at Find My Past).

     PCC Admon (Administrations), Register and films, 1719-1858 - now available in the London FHC Library.

    • Dorset Marriage Index and Directories of Ireland now available online.

    • London Parish Records now available online, (LMA through Ancestry).

    • British Library Newspaper Collection now available online at the London Family History Centre.

    1911 Census [England & Wales] - Now Available Free on Every Terminal at the London Family History Centre (at Find My Past)!

     Post 1858 Record Copy Wills from the Principal Probate Registry (1858-1925) - Set of 1020 Microfilm reels now available in the London FHC Library.
